HOW DOES THE TOURNAMENT WORK?

The event will be professionally run by Football Association certified referees. Teams may consist of a maximum of seven players (up to two substitutes) and no player may appear for more than one team. The tournament will follow a “World Cup” format with a group stage followed by knockout games. If knockout games are level at the end of normal time a penalty shoot out will be held to determine the winners.

During the group stages, teams will receive three points for a win, one for a draw and zero for a defeat. League placing will be determined by points won, followed by goal difference, followed by goals scored, followed by the result between the two teams in question.

If teams remain equal after this, then a penalty shoot out will be held to determine final league placing. Duration of matches will be approx. 10 minutes. The winning team wins £5,000 for their nominated school and the prize can be split between schools.
